It is with great sadness that we bring you the news of the resignation of our long standing Treasurer, Kevin Gill, from the Treasurer’s position. It is hoped that Kevin will remain a member of the Shed going forward and he has not indicated otherwise. Kevin is a founding member of the Northampton Men’s Shed and has been part and parcel of the many great things that have happened over the years.

Kevin’s oversight as Treasurer has seen the Shed become one of the most well-heeled Sheds in the country. His dedication to the Containers for Change scheme, which each year pours thousands of dollars into our community, is legendary.

Wednesdays and Saturdays would, almost without fail, see Kevin at the Shed, watchfully running the collection days and keeping the money side of things on an even keel.

Kevin was, and still is, a firm believer in the ideals of the Australian Men’s Shed initiative and it is sad that ill-health has made it difficut for Kevin to actively participate in the day-to-day Activities of our Shed. He relinquishes his role, safe in the knowledge that he has steered us to an excellent financial position.

Members of the Northampton Men’s Shed wish Kevin a speedy and full recovery and hope to see him popping in and saying “G’day” in the near future.
